Learning by doing – Carrying out activity sessions in authentic settings

A new element was introduced into the Professional English course for the Crafts and Recreation students in the autumn 2010. The students worked in pairs or groups of three students during this project. They planned and implemented activity sessions in authentic settings, e.g. local day-care centres and comprehensive schools where English immersion or CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) is used.

Running a short course in Mosaics

I started my pedagogical main subject in the autumn 2010 and one task was to plan and carry out an activity session for a group of adults. The theme of that short course was ”Small mosaic works”.  I prepared carefully for the course by collecting all the materials and tools. I also made a plan that included a working order and schedule.
