Shrinks like magic!

You can easily make nice jewelry, key rings, signs, earrings, magnets, decorations etc. The pictures become solid and thick when they are ready. In the oven they shrink and become approximately seven times smaller and seven times thicker than they were before.

NOTE! The heat treatment makes the colors become stronger and small color variation will disappear.

Materials:

- shrink plastic

- crayons, color pencils or permanent makers

- scissors

- a hole punch

- an oven

- according to need, e.g. key rings, zip pulls, earring hooks, small magnets, cotton cord, string…

Instructions:

1. Draw a picture on the shrink plastic (on the matt side). NOTE! The picture shrinks to 7 times smaller size than the original.
2. Color the picture.
3. Cut out the picture and make a hole before the shrinking. NOTE! The hole also shrinks in the oven, so be sure to consider the size of the hole.
4. Heat the oven to 175 degrees Centigrade.
5. Lay the picture on the baking paper (on the sheet pan) with the colored side up.
1. Put the pan in the oven for 3 minutes. First the picture curls up, but after that it straightens.
2. Finish the picture as jewelry/key chain/magnet etc.
